Brian Cody
Certified by the National Council on Strength and Fitness, Brian Cody is a strength coach with over 8 years of experience. He has worked with clients of various backgrounds and age groups but is especially passionate about coaching youth athletics.
Brian was selected as a recipient of the NEFL 2023 Coaching Staff of the Year award and has received multiple Trainer of the Month awards during his time at the YMCA. He has extensive knowledge in the field of health education and excels at creating comprehensive programs tailored to individual needs.
A firm believer in longevity, Brian emphasizes the goal of moving as comfortably as possible for as long as possible. His personal mission is to equip each of his clients with the skills and confidence to train independently.
Outside of training, Brian practices Muay Thai, plays middle linebacker for a semi-professional football team, and trains as a powerlifter. You can also catch him live-streaming an occasional game of Apex.
Kimiko Gomi
Kimiko is a NASM certified personal trainer and a certified functional strength coach with 4 years experience in the fitness industry. Specializing in strength training, Kimiko is passionate about helping clients achieve their physical and mental well-being through individualized training programs.
Kimiko’s journey into fitness began with her struggles with depression and anxiety. Discovering the transformative impact of exercise on her mental health, this quickly evolved into a passion that she eagerly shares with others.
Known for her compassionate and attentive coaching style, Kimiko fosters a supportive and empathetic environment where clients feel understood and motivated. She values human connection and takes the time to get to know each client to serve them best.
Outside of training, Kimiko enjoys powerlifting, playing pool, cuddling her dog, and watching true crime documentaries. She’ll also destroy you in a spicy food eating contest.
